The swaging diameter is the diameter to which a ferrule needs to be swaged onto a hose in order that it can be safely used to the manufacturer's stated working conditions such as pressure, termperature and bend radius.

Most swaging machines can be set to a specific swaging diameter however it is always recommended to manually check the diameter of the ferrule after swaging to ensure that it meets the swaging diameter.
